
For a refreshing drink that packs a punch, look no further than St. Croix’s famous Mango Rum Punch!
Ingredients:
12 oz. strawberry nectar
12 oz. mango nectar
12 oz. pineapple juice
2 cups orange juice
1 dash of grenadine
1 ½ oz. dark rum (1 shot)
1 ½ oz. light rum (1 shot)
1 ½ oz. coconut rum (1 shot)
1 ½ oz. mango rum (1 shot)
¾ oz. triple sec (½ shot)
Directions:
Mix the juices and nectars in a pitcher. Stir in enough grenadine to create a salmon pink color. Add two spoonfuls of maraschino cherry juice and a few cherries. Add the liquor and stir thoroughly. Taste the punch to check the strength and add more alcohol if you would like it stronger.
Tip: Nectar is often sold in individual cans in the international food section at your grocery store. If you don’t have mango rum, you can substitute another ½ shot of triple sec and another ½ shot of light rum. For an authentic St. Croix taste, be sure to use Captain Morgan or Cruzan rum.
